At The Beginning There was Sleep

Welcome to Deep Sleeper blog where the your birth right of healthy deep sleep is cherished. Sleep is a natural process that can be rediscovered avoiding the numbing effects of medication. I do realize many need this type of help but I also know so many that would try another way if it there was only hope.     Deep sleep can be elusive as one ages. Deep sleep is something you know you have when you have it. You feel refreshed and ready for new adventures.

    For some unfortunate ones, billions of dollars are spent each year in search of this most valuable commodity. “What do I do now,” is often asked at two or three in the morning when you are awake again and that clock ticks off the time.

    In this blog I hope to inform and be a beacon for many. I wish to guide you back to that peaceful, safe harbor you enjoyed as a child. I love to sleep. I don’t remember many nights I haven’t slept fitfully but my heart went out to my patients as they suffered. I will concentrate on what is known, what is not and new ideas I know work for some in there quest to attain healthy sleep.

    As a Nonforce Chiropractor with almost 20 years practice and another 14 years in traditional medicine I found that many patients came in with pain as their chief complaint but a close second was the irritation, the pain of not being able to sleep. Questioning them further I found that their present pain was only a flareup. Their problems really began two years prior after their car accident. The muscle, ligament, bone distortions make most pause and reflect on how their physical comfort or, lack there of, effects sleep.

    This blog will present “The Ergonomics of Sleep” as I understand it. There is not much written at this time but Good Ergonomics in bed can relieve pain. It only makes sense. Other positions will produce irritation at the least and severe pain at the worst. These irritations or pains may throw us into the tossing and turning experianced by many. Your task, if you are willing accept it, is to find and relish deep sleep, naturally. I will help you discover for yourself how sleep positions effect your sleep. You will learn what you can do to help yourself and get back your birth right of healthy deep sleep. This one third of our life, this special time we must have, effects the other two thirds. I contend, “lets do it well then” so we can enjoy our great adventures.
